Koppla Marketing is about “connection”

We are a San Diego and Los Angeles based small, woman-owned digital marketing agency. Our focus is to connect people through email marketing and automation. Email marketing is still one of the most effective channels for marketing your business today, but it’s evolving. Although newsletters and one-off campaigns will always play an integral role in email marketing strategy, a major focus has turned to automatic email campaigns which create a connection based on triggers from a user’s actions. 

Koppla [ko:p`la] is the Swedish word for “connect”. 

Language is one of the many ways we are interconnected with each other. When we seek to learn another language, we seek to understand each other and are reminded we share the same origins. Why Swedish? Why not? It’s a gorgeous language and the meaning of Koppla ties in perfectly with our mission: Seek to connect. We want to seek what connects us to you and you to your customer. It’s those connections that keep our purpose clear/meaningful and message genuine. Does our name stand out to you? Good. We’re in the business of marketing after-all.

Kristin Velez, Founder

Kristin has 15+ years of experience leading digital marketing strategies for a multitude of industries that include education, architecture, environmental services, and the automobile industry. She has always committed herself to exceeding clients’ expectations and is one of the reasons why she develops such strong relationships with her clients. It is integral to her work ethic and a value she brings to her own company. She has spent the better half of her career helping companies create strong customer relationships through visual storytelling (i.e., email marketing). Her passion for building relationships between brands and customers through the combination of technology and communications has made her a force to be reckoned with.

Leah Martinez, Content Creator

Prodigal daughter of writing. She developed a passion for language and the written word while working toward her degree in English. She believes there is no greater reward than helping you find the perfect word on the tip of your tongue.  Her focus is on creating brand content that is conversational, engaging and adds value to people’s lives.
