CE Program Administrator
We're looking for an experienced mental health professional to serve as our fractional CE Program Administrator. You'll review course materials, ensure our offerings meet NBCC requirements, and help us build ethically sound continuing education for therapists. Low-hour, flexible, and 1099.
About Koppla
Koppla is a digital marketing agency and technology company built specifically for mental health professionals — therapists, psychologists, and private practices. Through Koppla Marketing, we help practices grow ethically through SEO, content marketing, paid media, and web development. Through KopplaHQ, we build the tools and platforms that power that growth at scale.
Our mission is to connect people who need mental health support with the professionals who can help them — by making those professionals visible, credible, and accessible online.
The Role
As we build out a continuing education program pursuing NBCC ACEP approval, we need a clinical partner to ensure our curriculum meets the requirements for graduate-level CE credit and to serve as our named Program Administrator on the NBCC ACEP application.
You won't be responsible for building the marketing curriculum or managing the business. Our internal team handles the overarching operational duties of the ACEP Administrator. You'll own the clinical and educational integrity of our offerings: reviewing course materials focused on ethical marketing, digital boundaries, and practice building.
A note on pre-application scope
To earn ACEP status, the NBCC requires courses to be developed before applying. Your first milestone will be reviewing 1–2 fully developed courses to ensure they meet the threshold for our initial application.
Responsibilities
- Review course agendas, slide decks, and learning objectives to ensure content qualifies as graduate-level continuing education under NBCC guidelines, specifically within "Counselor Professional Identity and Practice Issues"
- Ensure all course materials maintain strict ethical boundaries, comply with HIPAA, and avoid functioning as direct promotional content for agency services
- Verify that course instructors meet the required NBCC educational and experiential qualifications for the material they teach, including Category 1 presenter qualification for all content touching on ethics, professional identity, and practice issues
- Act as the designated clinical reviewer for any participant grievances regarding course ethics or educational value
Qualifications
Required
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a mental health field from an accredited institution (mandatory NBCC requirement)
- Deep understanding of clinical ethics, HIPAA compliance, and professional boundaries as they relate to digital technology and social media
- Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail
- Comfort working independently in a remote, async-first environment
Strongly Preferred
- Active or past licensure in a mental health profession (e.g., LPCC, LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist). While NBCC only requires the advanced degree, we strongly prefer candidates with clinical licensure. Out-of-state equivalents are welcome for this remote role.
- Prior experience with continuing education approval processes (NBCC, NASW, ASWB, or APA)
- Experience running your own private practice or a working knowledge of the business side of therapy
Compensation
This is a flexible 1099 contractor engagement. We're open to structuring compensation in the way that best fits your consulting style. If you have experience and interest in taking on the operational ACEP Administrator duties as well, compensation can be adjusted upward (typically a $50–$100/month retainer add-on once ACEP status is active).
- Per-course flat fee: $300–$600 per course review and sign-off (initial pre-application reviews will generally fall on the higher end given the level of scrutiny required)
- Hourly consulting rate: $75–$150/hr for ongoing administrative tasks and reviews
- Monthly retainer: $200–$500+/month once course volume scales and ACEP approval is secured
What We Offer
- Highly flexible, async contract work that fits around a private practice schedule
- Fully remote, work from anywhere
- A collaborative, mission-driven team that takes your expertise seriously
- A direct role in shaping how therapists learn about marketing their practices responsibly
