Design
UI/UX & Graphic Design Intern
We need a UI/UX & Graphic Design Intern for Fall 2026 to handle our visual design operations. This is a hands-on remote role for a designer interested in building accessible, clear components for the mental health space.
About Koppla
Koppla Marketing is a digital marketing agency built exclusively for mental health professionals: therapists, psychologists, counselors, and private practices. We do one thing, helping clinicians get found by the right clients online. That means SEO for therapists, content strategy for behavioral health providers, and local search visibility for mental health practices that are tired of competing on Psychology Today alone. Through KopplaHQ, we build the software that powers that work at scale.
Design is at the core of how we do it. Every website we build, every campaign we run, and every product feature we ship starts with clear, accessible visuals designed for a very specific audience: people seeking mental health support. If you want your design work to matter to real people navigating difficult moments, this is the place.
The Role
We need a UI/UX & Graphic Design Intern for Fall 2026 to handle visual design across our client campaigns, our KopplaHQ platform, and our brand presence. This is a hands-on role for a designer interested in clear, user-focused design within the mental health space. You will work directly with our marketing and content teams to build and ship production-ready assets.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and produce digital assets including social media graphics, email templates, landing pages, and ad creatives for mental health-focused clients
- Support UI/UX improvements for the KopplaHQ practice management platform, including wireframes, mockups, and user flow diagrams
- Assist in maintaining and evolving Koppla's visual brand identity across all channels
- Create presentation decks, reports, and one-pagers for internal and client-facing use
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to ensure visual consistency across campaigns
- Research design trends in the mental health and wellness industry and apply them to client work
- Assist with basic website updates and visual components using tools like Webflow, Squarespace, or Wix
- Organize and maintain a shared digital asset library
What You'll Learn
The assets you design go into live client campaigns. The wireframes you create will influence the KopplaHQ interface. By the end of this internship, you'll have built a portfolio with real-world impact, developing specific expertise in designing for mental health and healthcare.
- Why therapist website design requires a unique approach: how color psychology, typography, and layout must signal safety, professionalism, and warmth to a person seeking mental health support
- How to design digital experiences that convert website visitors into therapy clients, moving beyond aesthetics to focus on user flow, frictionless intake forms, and clear clinical pathways
- The technical and accessibility considerations for building a modern website for therapists, ensuring your designs meet WCAG standards while maintaining high performance and mobile responsiveness
- The theory and practical application of color science in therapist website design, learning how to craft palettes that evoke the right emotional response
- How to collaborate with developers by passing off Figma prototypes for our custom themes like Aurora, ensuring the design vision remains intact from mockup to live build
